Higgerson takes top multimedia position at Trinity Mirror Regionals

David Higgerson, currently the assistant digital editor of the Liverpool Daily Post, has been promoted to the new role of head of multimedia for the publisher’s regional division.

Higgerson will now be responsible for ensuring ongoing synergy between the paper’s regional titles and their online offerings, while also working alongside individual editors to make good on the division's multimedia ambitions.

He takes on the position, vacated in March by Mike Hill, in June and will report directly to Neil Benson, editorial director of Trinity Mirror Regionals.

Higgerson has previously worked at the Preston Citizen, the Lancashire Evening Telegraph and The Journal in Newcastle.
