How-Do charity golf day in aid of Alder Hey hospital – 16 September | Print |  Email to a friend

Following repeated suggestions and requests from How-Do readers, we’ve finally succumbed to inevitability and, with all the proceeds going to Alder Hey children’s hospital, we will be staging a charity golf day on Tuesday 16 September at Mere golf and country club.
Following repeated suggestions and requests from How-Do readers, we’ve finally succumbed to inevitability and, with all the proceeds going to Alder Hey children’s hospital, we will be staging a charity golf day on Tuesday 16 September at Mere golf and country club.

Mere, described by Sky TV as “the Wentworth of the North”, offers some of the best greens in the UK and will ensure that the inaugural How-Do charity golf day gets off to the best possible start.

If we are able to attract the maximum number of teams possible - 34- then we will be able to raise several thousands of pounds for the world-renowned Alder Hey children’s hospital in Liverpool.

We are also hoping to secure a number of additional prizes and incentives for the evening’s post-golf entertainment to make sure the day proves to be memorable as possible.

Mere is joining in the spirit of the occasion by offering How-Do a special rate for the day which will further maximise the charitable contribution of the entry fee.

The fee per team of four is £540 plus vat. The price includes food before and after the tournament and we are working towards providing some surprises as part of the entertainment on the evening.

With some luck and the support of leading regional companies, Tuesday 16 September 2008 will provide media and creative folk with a golfing bent across the North West with a unique and hugely enjoyable day’s golfing and networking in first class surroundings.

And with the proceeds going exclusively to Alder Hey, the occasion should prove beneficial too, for what is one of the largest children's hospitals in Europe, treating more than 200,000 young patients every year.

To reserve a place for your company or organisation or to make a booking, please email nick@how-do.co.uk

We hope the day will prove to be a sell-out and with four reservations already taken while we were preparing the initiative for launch, the signs are encouraging, so get your reservations in quickly!
