How-Do passes first birthday mark with 100,000 visits in March | Print |  Email to a friend

“A year, you don’t say? It feels like ten.” So said our founder Nick Jaspan when reminded that How-Do had reached the ripe old age of one this weekend. Thankfully he got just what he wanted as a present, as the site recorded over 100,000 visits in a single month for the first time ever.
“A year, you don’t say? It feels like ten.” So said our founder Nick Jaspan when reminded that How-Do had reached the ripe old age of one this weekend. Thankfully he got just what he wanted as a present, as the site recorded over 100,000 visits in a single month for the first time ever.

How-Do launched to serve the burgeoning media and marketing community right here in the North West of England on 30 March 2007.

The idea was to create a news resource, a platform, a meeting place and an all round hub for this dynamic industry in – what we think anyway – is its dynamic heartland.

The success of the site and the enthusiasm of you, our very valued readers, has led the team to conclude that their faith in this concept has been far from misplaced – a belief that has led to further investment and development of the How-Do proposition, as we look to add ever increasing value.

Hence you might have noted new initiatives like the How-Do Awards, the How-Do Top 100 Marketers and the success of the first outings of features such as The Top 100 North West Brands and the How-Do Media 100 – the first ever comprehensive look at the key individuals making an impact in our industry, in our home region.

The longer the site progresses, the more we hope to secure our place in your daily diet of all things media and marketing and keep attracting new friends (speaking of attractions we also, alongside the 100,000 visitors, clocked up almost 2million hits and 550,000 page impressions in March).

Leaving the last word on all this to Nick, he noted: “I’d just like to thank everyone involved in the success of the site in year one. It’s been a mad, busy, at times quite frightening first year, but we’re all delighted at the success of How-Do so far.

“So, thank you to all our readers, and do keep letting us know how we can keep making your site bigger, better and stronger.”
