Ian Singleton to be news editor at the Lancs Telegraph

Ian Singleton, currently deputy news editor at the Lancashire Telegraph, is to be the paper’s next news editor as from 1 August.

The current assistant editor/news, Andrew Turner, is leaving to join Blackpool PR agency GDR.

mosimage}Singleton graduated from Leeds University before taking a post-graduate course at UCLan.

He began his career at the paper in 2001 as a trainee reporter.

At the paper he has also been a crime reporter and assistant news editor.

Earlier this month, the paper’s football correspondent Andy Neild announced he was leaving to join a rival Lancashire PR agency PAPR.
