Lancashire Business View has had a face lift as it attempts to make more of an impact on news stands.
The magazine for business people in Lancashire and Bolton has also changed its type face to make it easier to read. "I have always been an advocate of evolution rather than revolution and the feedback I have had since taking over the editorship of Lancashire Business View is that readers are more than happy with the format and content," said editor Peter Butterfield. However, the font has changed and it’s now Helvetica Condensed for headlines and Rockwell as the main body type.
Designer, Anthony Roocroft explained: "in its lighter weights it has all the legibility of a traditional serif news fonts such as Times New Roman but in its heavier weights and at larger sizes it has far more individuality." "Over the next few issues these two type-faces will help define the personality of the magazine and the combination of the two fonts will quickly become identified with the brand qualities that LBV brings to the news stand," he adds. While the style may have changed, we’re told the magazine content will remain the same: "We exist to support and celebrate the business, commercial and industrial excellence in the county; to analyse and recognise the regeneration efforts of public bodies; and to create a platform for Lancashire to do more and better business," said Butterfield. "That will never change." Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
