Larry “the Legend” Neild has filed his last column for the Daily Post. His new roles include hosting a politics show for City Talk 105.9, PR for October Communications and a new weekly column for LiverpoolConfidential.com
Neild
Although he left the paper last autumn, he continued to write his Monday column, ‘In the Council Chamber’ which, along with his blog on the Post’s website, proved enduringly popular with readers.

Neild said: “It was time to move on, but my verbal meanderings will continue courtesy of the internet and will be widened out to cover all manner of city issues.”

Liverpool Confidential’s editor, Angie Sammons, who worked alongside Neild for several years as deputy features editor at the Daily Post, said Neild’s arrival was “great news and added to the growing roster of talented writers the site is attracting including Paul Du Noyer, Ciara Leeming and Lew Baxter.”

Mark Thomas, editor of the Daily Post said: “We will miss Larry’s entertaining and challenging insights on the local government world in Liverpool and we wish him well in his future career.

“We will shortly be unveiling a new Daily Post columnist who will be taking over the Monday slot and I am sure readers will be as excited as I am by the writer we have lined up.”
