The Top 100 North West brands – now open for nominations
The voting for this year's Top 100 North West Brands, in association with leading law firm Hill Dickinson together with the support of the CBI, the CIM and Bauer Radio, is about to close. Readers only have until Monday, in this the initiative's second year, as we seek to identify the region's best known and most admired brands.

How-Do readers can participate in the initiative by clicking here.

The survey only takes five minutes to complete, and everyone who takes part will not only be able to back their favourite horse, but will also be in with a chance of winning £100 worth of vouchers.

This is the third and final call to vote.

North West members of the CBI (Confederation of British Industry) and the CIM (The Chartered Institute of Marketing) have their own dedicated sites at which they can nominate their chosen brands.

Such rankings of recognised brands are regularly undertaken on a national or international basis, but this is the only compilation that is undertaken solely for the North West. All four lead participants – How-Do, Hill Dickinson , the CBI and the CIM – believe the region is home to so many successful brands, it more than deserves its own showcase.

The results of this major research initiative will be announced at a special event at the Bridgewater Hall on the evening of Tuesday 18 November. Manchester Camerata will be playing a selection of pieces at the event. The Camerata is the Chamber Orchestra-in-Residence at the Bridgewater Hall.

Comedian John Bishop and Edwin Booth, chairman of the leading independent retailer Booths are the guest speakers at the event.

Last year's inaugural event at Urbis attracted almost 200 guests from many of the shortlisted companies who gathered to hear the announcement of the results which, in addition to numerous sectoral winners, included Urban Splash being chosen as the North West's Top Brand overall.

For this, the second year of the initiative, four of Bauer Radio's leading North West radio stations: Radio City and City Talk of Liverpool, Rock FM of Lancashire and Key103 of Manchester, have joined in the initiative encouraging their one million plus listeners across the region to submit their votes via four specially created areas of their respective websites.

The addition this year of the four radio stations to the mix should, we hope, also result in a poll which offers an even wider variety of views and opinions reflecting different interest groups in the region.

We have introduced some new categories this year including most ethical/CSR-focused brand and best brand marketing.

The research is once again being conducted and overseen by one of the UK’s leading independent research companies, Ci, based in Cheshire. Ci works for Royal & Sun Alliance, Bayer, HBoS, TNT and a number of national and international companies – household brands themselves!

The partners in the Top 100 Brands initiative are:
