Liverpool Press Club to celebrate 125th anniversary with ‘a great affair’

Liverpool Press Club is 125 this year and, like any other 125 year old, is planning a suitably sized shindig to celebrate reaching the milestone.

Vibrant city by the sea

The Press Club’s president Ken Bennett, regional travel editor with Trinity Mirror, is organising the event for 28 November at the Holiday Inn, Lime Street.

He is calling on all journalists that “have fond memories of this vibrant city by the sea” to join him for a three-course luncheon that he promises will be “a great affair”.

Tickets are £20 per head and Bennett claims that there has already been “a big interest” in snapping up tables.
