MEN Media, the publisher of 20 regional newspapers and owner of Channel M Television, will pool all of its recruitment advertising into a new, branded resource from January of next year.
Named The Jobs Mine, the new proposition will be available across all the firm’s media channels creating, MEN bosses claim, the definitive destination for those seeking or advertising jobs in the region.
A statement issued from the firm last night said: ‘The Jobs Mine presents a unique proposition for both recruiters and job seekers in Greater Manchester. Companies will be able to showcase jobs when, where and how jobseekers choose to receive the information, whether in print, broadcast or online media channels. The Jobs Mine will target both active and passive job seekers, giving the best possible response for employers.’
In the same release Mark Rix, MD at M.E.N. Media commented: “With The Jobs Mine, we are responding to the needs of jobseekers, employers and recruitment agencies by offering recruitment solutions that meet their requirements in the 21st century.”
Elaine Darbyshire, the firm’s director of corporate communications, was unavailable for comment at the time of writing. It is believed, however, that she is currently overseeing a major campaign to sell the concept into recruitment agencies and will launch an above the line push to the public prior to the January launch.
