MEN Media has appointed Adlink to spearhead its digital sales across the 23 websites that fall within the group’s online portfolio. The appointment, which only came into effect yesterday, ends MEN’s relationship with Ad2one.
Speaking to How-Do, Peter Boler, the group’s head of digital sales, was reticent about disclosing the full details of exactly how the sales task would now be split between the existing in-house team and the new supplier, but confirmed that the relationship was up and running. “We have our own representation on the digital side, but we’ll now be working very closely with Adlink,” he noted, adding; “you could say we’ll be embedded with one another.” He continued: “It basically gives us an exciting opportunity as we feel Adlink’s representation will put us into a very strong position with the online agencies. I won’t go into how the mechanics of the arrangement work, but it will be across our entire portfolio of sites.” MEN Media produces a range of free and paid for publications across the Greater Manchester area, with titles such as the Stockport Express and Oldham Advertiser benefiting from established online presences. Adlink will now be charged with selling into these sites, along with boosting online revenues for www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk , www.manchesteronline.co.uk and new group jobs portal www.thejobsmine.co.uk http://www.adlinkgroup.net/index.php Something to add?
