Muso, a bi-monthly classical music magazine published out of Manchester, has had a design make-over by Young design, with the objective of broadening the title’s appeal to a ‘more design literate audience’.
Muso recently changed hands with the title being bought by Rhinegold Publishing in London. Editorial and production remain in Manchester with advertising and distribution now handled at Rheingold’s Soho base.
Muso’s editor, Claire Jackson, said of the redesign: “We were looking for a new, contemporary design that would reflect the editorial content's diversity. We now have a fresh, clean look that is in line with the brand and has I believe instantly lifted the aesthetic of the publication.
“The design team worked within the parameters of the specification provided, as well as bringing their own creativity to the pages – I am delighted with the result”.
The work for Muso builds upon Young’s growing client base in the arts & cultural sector alongside other clients including End Water Poverty, Manchester University, Lifeline Publications and the Manchester Science Festival.
