Neild quits Premiership and Lancs Telegraph for PR

Football journalist Andy Neild has announced that he is leaving his job at the Lancashire Telegraph to sign for local PR agency PAPR.

The Guvnor: revealed by Neild

Neild has spent the last eight years covering Blackburn Rovers for the newspaper and, according to reports, was the first journalist to confirm the recent appointment of Paul Ince to the role of manager at the Premiership club.

In his new role Neild will continue to work with the club, assisting the press office on match days and writing copy for the club programmes

His main responsibility at the Lancashire-based PR agency is said to focus on business development.

He takes up the position next month.
