The News and Star and its fellow CN-owned Cumbrian papers have launched a dedicated site to enable readers and residents to access live information about the flooding in the region.
The site can be found here.
Readers care invited to submit latest news, tips and pictures while the paper is adding additional up to the minute information they receive from the police, army and other emergency support forces.
There are also links to readers’ You Tube clips showing the worst affected areas.
In addition the paper’s extended coverage of the flooding, a special edition of the paper is currently being produced which will focus on the flooding and the issues surrounding it.
It appears the site is has been well received by readers.
