Newsco, the publisher and promoter of the monthly business title North West Insider and a number of other business titles and corporate events, is launching its fifth regional title in September, South West Business Insider.
Taylor Editorial director Michael Taylor is overseeing the launch of the new title but the company is planning to bring in a new editor in due course.
Two sales staff have been recruited for the Bristol office and further appointments are expected.
Newsco currently publishes Insiders in the North West, Yorkshire, Midlands and Wales.
Taylor said: “We will be serving this community by investing in events and a quality editorial product. I am looking to recruit a first class editor to deliver the very best magazine to this dynamic and exciting business region.”
The cover story in the first issue will be the South West Rich 100, compiled by Philip Beresford, a long-standing Newsco partner and author of the Sunday Times Rich List.
The launch issue will also include reviews of property and corporate finance activity in the region together with a feature on the business of sport in the South West.
Newsco, based in Manchester, is an independently owned company since it was bought back from venture capitalists Candover. The company’s chairman is Chris Oakley, former boss of the Birmingham Post and subsequently Regional Independent Media. The former was sold to Trinity and the latter to Candover.
