The short listed entries below will battle it out for the spoils in the 17th annual North West Newspaper Awards, taking place this Friday at Sellafield in Cumbria.
 The award's venue Each of the winners will secure a purse of £700, with the runners up all taking home the consolation of a cheque for £150.How-Do will publish a full list of the winners after the event.
