The Northwest Development Agency is set to join players such as Insider, Crain’s, EN, the Daily Post and the MEN this November, when it enters the business publishing fray with www.theoutbox.co.uk
The new, online ‘rich media magazine’ is being created by Manchester’s Junction YK, which has had a team of six on the project since May this year. The agency is believed to be on a three year contract, funded by the NWDA.
At the time of writing staff in the marketing department of the development organisation were unable to comment on details of the launch plans.
However, Junction YK is currently building content for the site and a spokesperson informed How-Do that it would be targeted at business people throughout the North West, with an acknowledged skew towards exploiting online technology.
Daily news, features and interviews will form the bulk of site content, utilising video and audio channels as well as text.
The spokesperson also revealed that the team is on the prowl for businesses that have stories to tell and writers who want to try their hand at ‘personality led polemic’ (we’re guessing that’s on business subjects only though - ed).
Interested parties should get in touch with Junction YK on 0161 833 9725.
