He told the tribunal that he was asked to take a large cut in his salary, much more than other directors at the company, which included a number of celebrities.
When he refused, he was left unpaid for a month.
During the case, Bourhill made references to issues with Oyston's daughter Natalie. He called her "unprofessional" which is said to have caused tension with her family.
This January, he said he tried to tell directors of concerns that the company was trading while insolvent. It was then that he was told of his dismissal.
Recording a unanimous decision, the panel said that it felt Bourhill was unfairly dismissed.
However, the case may not end here. According to lawyers, Riding Publishing has gone into liquidation, which means Bourhill may have to take further legal action to get the money.
