The Telegraph Media Group has restructured its UK sales operations centred on London and Manchester. In Manchester, this means Gary Frielick will now head up all sales outside the M25 and that Michelle Turner, head of classified is leaving the company.
The departure is understood to be as amicable as these things can be and Turner is understood to considering her options for the future. Under Turner’s leadership and before the full impact of the recession, the Manchester classified operation enjoyed considerable success.

Gary Frielick, previously head of display, has now become the regional sales director, with responsibility for all display, classified and digital sales outside the M25.
Frielick told How-Do that “the restructuring is now over” and that he doesn’t envisage further reductions in staff numbers.
He added that current sales are encouraging. “Motors are coming back, retailing is strong and the finance market is picking up nicely. It would seem that some green shoots are finally emerging.
“We’ve had a good September, a fantastic October and November is looking ok too.”
A dozen staff are employed in the Telegraph’s commercial team in Manchester.
