Salad days for Insider’s Taylor | Print |  Email to a friend
Friday, 30 November 2007
North West Insider’s editor, Michael Taylor, has picked up a second award – this one from the BVCA - in just a few days. Taylor won both individual and team recognition last week at the Northern journalism awards.

He collected his latest award at the BVCA (Venture Capital Association) Private Equity and Venture Capital Journalist of the Year Awards on Wednesday in London.

Taylor won the regional correspondent of the year award for the second year running. The accolade was related to his investigative piece on the demise of Music Zone.

Simon Walker, Chief Executive of the BVCA said: “It is important that we as an industry recognise the contribution the media makes to the wider debate about private equity.

“2007 has seen more press and broadcast coverage of our industry than ever before. We were delighted with the level and range of entries from industry specialists, national correspondents and business commentators. Today’s awards recognise those contributions that have done the most to further understanding of the UK private equity and venture capital industry over the past year. As an industry, in the post-Walker era, we appreciate that better communication and openness with the media will help the private equity industry tell the great story it has to tell. ”
