Savage new appointment for The Bolton News

Ian Savage has been appointed as the editor of The Bolton News.

Savage stepped into the position on 2 January, after a career that has most recently seen him editing at The Bury Times group and before that working at The Bolton Evening News, Blackburn Citizen and Manchester Evening News.

41 year old Savage has lived in Bolton for his entire life and described the opportunity to edit his hometown paper as “a dream come true.”
