Adrian Short has replaced Simon Drury as news editor at the Widnes and Runcorn Weekly News and Herald and Post Series.
Drury joined the fellow Trinity Mirror North West title Mid Cheshire Chronicle as editor to relaunch the paper's reincarnation as a free paper in July. Short has worked for Chester Chronicle and Associated Newspapers/Trinity Mirror Cheshire for the past nine years.
He started out as a reporter on the Crewe Chronicle in South Cheshire and became chief reporter of the Widnes and Runcorn Weekly News in 2000.
He told How-Do: "I am delighted to be appointed to the post of news editor of the Widnes and Runcorn Weekly News and Herald and Post series.
"Our Widnes edition in particular has enjoyed some circulation successes this year at a time when the UK newspaper industry in general is facing a difficult climate.
"I aim to build on this success and ensure that the quality of our editorial content continues to be second to none." Something to add? Then leave a comment below or email us now.
