Shortlist announced for the Top 100 Northern Brands 2012

Following lots of enthusiastic and expert voting for the 2012 edition of the Top 100 Northern Brands from How-Do readers, we closed the rolls for nominations in mid-December following which our judging panel came together to adjudicate, apply a sense check and, in addition to the category winners, choose their two overall B2C and B2b brand winners.
Six brands have been shortlisted from each category and the winners will be announced at a special event hosted by Salford University at its Media City campus in a few weeks time.

A number of leading marketing services companies have supported this year’s initiative while the core of the initiative, the analysis and the research, has been delivered by the independent research company Ci, based in Wilmslow.

The marketing services companies and organisations supporting this initiative include: Tangerine PR, Clock Creative, Market Creative, Access, the University of Salford and C21 Creative Communications.

Such rankings of recognised brands are typically undertaken on a national or international basis but How-Do believes the North is home to so many successful brands, it more than deserves its own showcase and a quick glance at the shortlist of leading brands chosen by our readers, is a testament to the outstanding array of national and international brands based in the North.
