The second annual Top 100 North West Brands is almost upon us and this year has seen around 1,000 regional businesses fighting it out for hegemony, with some of the best known operators being joined by a legion of up and coming names.
The second annual Top 100 North West Brands is almost upon us. This year has seen around 1,000 regional businesses fighting it out for hegemony, with some of the best known operators being joined by a legion of up and coming names.

Urban Splash triumphed in last year’s inaugural outing for the scheme and this year the firm again features, alongside newcomers such as Matalan, Liverpool Capital of Culture and Kukri Sports.

The results of the poll, which is carried out in association with national commercial law firm Hill Dickinson (and was this year accessible through Facebook), will be revealed at a gala event next Tuesday 18 November, at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.

This will take in 14 individual categories – including new battlegrounds ‘most ethical / CSR focused brand’ and ‘best brand marketing’ – and feature high profile speakers such as Edwin Booth, the chairman of Booths supermarkets.

Hill Dickinson’s Jane O’Sullivan, a driving force behind the initiative, commented: “Everyone will recognise these brands because irrespective of company size, they are all major players in their field and should feel proud that their hard work has been recognised.

“We’re confident that the winners on November 18th will be those brands that really do express who and what they represent.”
