Journalist turned head of public affairs, Geoffrey Simpson, has retuned to journalism to edit the free quarterly life style title, Rochdale Style.
Rochdale Style is circulated to 28,000 homes and businesses in the Rochdale conurbation. It was launched three years ago by local businessmen Geoff Nuttall and Colin Meredith.
Meredith is an actor whose credits include Heartbeat, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Waterloo Road and Emmerdale.
Nuttall began his career at the Rochdale Observer in the ad department before setting up his own printing company. He has a sideline in modelling and occasionally appears on television in minor roles.
Simpson Simpson joined the title having spent 15 years with the Co-operative Group, latterly as head of public relations at United Co-operatives in Rochdale. "Style” he said “is always on the lookout for news and feature material with a specific Rochdale angle which illustrates an aspect of a vibrant community." www.rochdalestyle.com
