Slim pickings turn to dust at AOP Online Publishing Awards |

The region’s three shortlisted digital operations – the MEN, Southport Communities and Visit Manchester –at the annual AOP Online Publishing Awards 2007 on Wednesday night in London, were ultimately unsuccessful on the night.
 Benson With the notable exception of Trinity Mirror’s Teeside Gazette (GazetteLive) which scooped two awards, the nationals swept the competition away before them.
Neil Benson - Trinity’s editorial director based in the North West - who has a remit to help shape the fdevelopment of the digital offering of other regional Trinity titles said: “This is an exciting time for the GazetteLive, and further recognition of the innovative approach of the site, having also picked up an industry award for Regional Website of the Year 2007 in June. The site continues to reach out to the local community to engage, entertain and inform.”
