The Bolton News has launched a new initiative which will initially see five computerised screens in Bolton and Bury delivering the latest news and features from the paper and its website.
The plan is to extend the service to an additional ten new sites in the coming weeks. The next site is planned to be the Bolton Arena.
Two of the five 15in LCD screens have been placed in Bolton town centre, one at the Middlebrook retail park and the remaining two in Bury town centre.
The objective is to raise awareness of the paper and its digital services in areas of high consumer footfall. Details of breaking stories will feature on a special "news ticker" at the top of the interactive boards.
Carol King, head of newspaper sales and promotions at the paper said: "We are always looking for new ways to keep our readers informed about what is happening in and around Bolton.
"Our new interactive screens give us the ability to get the latest stories out on to the streets at the press of a button."
