News International’s ‘The Business City Guide in association with Times Online’ has reached agreement with Liquid whereby Liquid will be the website’s exclusive agency handling any incoming marketing services enquiries across Northern England.

News International’s ‘The Business City Guide in association with Times Online’ has reached agreement with Liquid whereby Liquid will be the website’s exclusive agency handling any incoming marketing services enquiries across Northern England.

The Business City Guides (BCG) cover a number of countries around the world and offer purely business information on economies and companies rather than tourist guides.

Should any would-be inward investor or other company seeking information about doing business in the North with an interest in marketing or creative services, News International will refer them Liquid’s way.

Liquid has a fee to pay for the privilege but the agency's MD Chris Mitchell would not disclose it. He said the agency was surprised when contacted by News International last year following NI’s evaluation of the Northern market and was delighted that Liquid had been chosen. Mitchell told How-Do that NI’s alternative was to replicate its relationship with a London agency for out of South East enquiries.

Liquid currently employs 25 staff. It relocated from London to Liverpool in 2003. The agency’s clients include Fujifilm, Staples, Medicash and Lloyds TSB.

Mitchell said: “This is a very influential association, as the Times online enjoys such a hugely prominent readership worldwide. The Business City Guide in association with the Times
