The Top 100 North West brands – now open for nominations
How-Do has joined forces with leading law firm Hill Dickinson and the CBI and the CIM to launch a first for the region - the Top 100 North West Brands.

Nominations are now invited from How-Do readers who can participate in the initiative by clicking here.

The site can also be found at: www.brandsurveys.co.uk

Everyone who participates will be entitled to a full PDF copy of the final report.

North West members of the CBI (Confederation of British Industry) and the CIM (The Chartered Institute of Marketing) have their own dedicated sites at which they can nominate their chosen brands.

The results of this major research initiative will be announced at a special event at Urbis in Manchester on the evening of Tuesday 13 November.

Sir Howard Bernstein, chief executive of Manchester city council will be the evening’s guest speaker.

Senior personnel from a number of the successful brands are expected to attend the evening which is being hosted by Hill Dickinson, which celebrates its tenth anniversary in Manchester this autumn.

The research is being conducted and overseen by one of the UK’s leading independent research companies, Ci, based in Cheshire. Ci works for Royal & Sun Alliance, Bayer, HBoS, TNT and a number of national and international companies – household brands themselves!

Mediavest Manchester will be providing additional media analysis of the Top 100 Brands.

Such rankings of recognised brands are regularly undertaken on a national or international basis, but all four lead participants – How-Do, Hill Dickinson, the CBI and the CIM – believe the region is home to so many successful brands; it more than deserves its own showcase.

Image
In most UK regions, a ranking of 100 notable brands would prove a challenge to assemble but the North West is home to a surprisingly large number of brands.

To name just a few: Pilkingtons, Warburtons, moneysupermarket.com, the Co-op, Pataks, Swinton Insurance, Topps Tiles, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Littlewoods, ITV Granada, Elegant Resorts, Love Hearts – the list of fine brand names goes on.

In addition to the CBI’s and the CIM’s 8,000 plus North West members, How-Do is now attracting almost 10,000 regular unique visitors a month to www.how-do.co.uk   so the potential voting audience is huge and extremely influential. Because the voting base is essentially a B2B audience of media, marketing and business people, the results of this initiative will have particular resonance with the successful North West companies involved.

The partners in the Top 100 Brands initiative are:
