Three short listed for AOP Online Publishing Awards |

There were slim pickings for the region’s publishing concerns with the news that just three of its digital operations – the MEN, Southport Communities and Visit Manchester – have been short listed for the annual AOP Online Publishing Awards 2007.
The winners will be announced at a dinner on 3 October 3 at the London Hilton.
There were numerous categories on offer and the majority of those short listed are national publishing companies.
www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk has been short listed in the editorial team – consumer category and is up against FT.com and telegraph.co.uk  Hartley Sarah Hartley, editor of MEN online has enjoyed a sucuessful year with the web site receiving numerous plaudits and nominations in various national and regional awards.
In the podcast category, Photolink’s work for Visit Manchester has been short listed - www.visitmanchester.com/podcast
In the online community category, Trinity’s www.southportcommunities.co.uk is up against heavy weight competition in the shape of News International’s www.mysun.co.uk and www.my.telegraph.co.uk and specialist sites including www.militarymodelling.com and www.runnersworld.co.uk
