Trinity Mirror's Liverpool Daily Post and Echo have moved into the domain of digital broadcasting after streaming a round table debate live onto the internet yesterday.
The programme, discussing unemployment in the region and chaired by LDP Business editor Bill Gleeson, was filmed in the paper's new studio facilities and shown on the LDP website.
A CoverIt Live blog ran in tandem with the broadcast to allow viewer interaction.
Post editor Mark Thomas said that the title would now be looking to develop a rolling programme of business debates in a similar format, adding that it may be an important new revenue stream for the paper.
The 30 minute show can be viewed online here.
Studio manager Claire Gray and head of data and development Kevin Matthews were also instrumental in bringing the project to fruition.

Yes Mark, I bet it will be an important new business stream, when, as is widely rumoured inside and outside of Old Hall Street, the Daily Post becomes an online only title either later this year or next.
I actually cannot think of anything more dull, or hilarious, depending on your point of view.
