Dewsbury collected two of the awards, for Scoop of the Year and News Writer of the Year at the ceremony in London.

His investigation exposed a student involved in selling plagarised essays to other people at several universities. It was published in the Uclan newspaper Pluto.

"We will hear a lot more about this journalist," predicted the judges.

Thomas Clarke won Student Radio Journalist of the Year and completing the set was Frida Larsson with Student Multimedia Journalist of the Year.
