Wigan Council’s quarterly residents magazine Borough Life is to be designed and produced by Stoke’s Smith Davies Press for the next two years, following on from a public tender process.
Life coming to Smith Davies
Wigan currently produces the title, which has a print run of almost 140,000, on a quarterly basis, but is said to be looking into the possibility of upping the frequency to six issues a year (for its sake let’s hope that process is smoother than Salford’s similar plans, Ed).
The council received six offers of interest for the job, which is worth in the region of £200,000 to Smith Davies.
Borough Life focuses on news and features concerning the council and community activities.
