World first for The Manchester Review with new John Banville work |

The University of Manchester’s new literary journal, The Manchester Review, has scored a significant coup, with the news that it is has secured the ‘first look’ at Booker Prize winner John Banville’s new novel.
 Banville: read him online now Banville collected the Booker in 2005 for his acclaimed opus The Sea and this is his first fictional work since.As such The Manchester Review is set to attract significant interest from around the globe as it has now published the first chapter of The Sinking City online at www.themanchesterreview.co.uk. The deal was secured to launch the journal, which will now appear each spring and autumn. Other writers included in the first issue, available to view online now, are Tom French, Paul Muldoon, Roshanak Pashaee, Bill Manhire, Ali Smith and John Hartley Williams.
