A Manchester-based internet TV and social media expert is embarking on a charity challenge in September that will turn her into a Phileas Fogg for the fundraising 2.0 generation.

Chi-chi Ekweozor, a director of east Manchester-based consultancy Real Fresh TV, is aiming to visit all seven wonders of the world (how many can you name? Answers below. Ed) in just seven days, raising a target of £777,000 for seven different charities along the way.

Using her social media training Ekweozor is promoting her efforts via Twitter and Facebook and is setting the fundraising ball rolling with a charity auction in Manchester's Living Room on 25 June.

The money raised from the epic voyage will be donated to a Nigerian education foundation set up in her grandmother's name, the Jessie Ekweozor Foundation, with shares going to Alzheimer’s Research Trust, Diabetes UK, Open Doors, British Red Cross, Young Minds and Feed The Minds.

You can read her blog here www.7wondersin7days.com

The seven modern wonders of the world, in case you were wondering/feel like wandering, are Chichen Itza in Mexico, Christ the Redeemer in Brazil, the Colosseum in Rome, Great Wall of China, Machu Picchu in Peru, Petra in Jordan and Taj Mahal in India.

Thanks so much for the article, I love your cheek.

I would take up your challenge to name all 7 wonders of the world but I already did! In a sense...

Will keep How Do posted on how we do at the Charity auction.

Thanks again.

What a JOKE. I really thought we'd seen the last of these disgraceful charity fundraising holiday things. But this one almost makes the "Machu Picchu cycle challenge" look respectable!. Gosh, what a terrible hardship - travelling to seven rather splendid locations in seven days! Oh, the sacrifice! It's self-serving, self-promoting, pointless twaddle and my advice to any would-be donors is to send a cheque direct to the charities if you have the urge to be generous.
