Financial giant Aon is looking to make its four year sponsorship deal with Premier League champions Manchester United the fulcrum of its marketing activity.
In an interview with trade title Marketing Week Aon's global chief marketing and communications officer Philip B Clement imparted that the rumoured £20m a year deal would influence "everything we do". He said that he hoped the association with the team would help to build the brand globally, particularly in emerging markets such as Asia, stating "it is a pretty good bet for a US firm looking for a global presence." Clement also noted that the agreement would be used to push a number of the firm's distinct offerings and divisions and that Aon would now be looking to develop “joint product marketing and services” for consumers.www.marketingweek.co.uk Something to add?
