The eagerly anticipated brand for Blackburn is set to be revealed to the local business community this Friday at a special event in the town’s museum.
Manchester-based design group Creative Lynx will be no doubt be holding their collective breath at the unveiling, which will not only see the debut of their new identity for the town, but also a long term vision to accompany it.
Speaking to How-Do, council regeneration spokesperson Claire Turner said that it was “not just a logo” that would be showcased to the community, but an “integrated marketing strategy that is focused on supporting the businesses in the centre.”
She added that the ongoing regeneration of the town, while an overwhelming positive, had disrupted some businesses and that this fresh strategy would help provide a new source of focus.
Creative Lynx, now established as a place branding expert, was appointed to the task in October last year and initially told How-Do that the brand would be expected to surface at some point in January.
Liverpool’s Mason Media has since been drafted in to support the project and will assist in managing the launch activity come Friday.
