Blackburn Rovers is planning to shortly offer Bluetooth technology at its ground to advertisers keen on targeting its match-going crowds.
The new initiative follows a trial at Portsmouth where several thousand fans downloaded a film trailer over the course of two hours at that ground.
Rovers supporters will be able to download a variety of ‘content-rich’ messages relating to forthcoming matches before they kick off.
The average cost to advertisers will be between 50p to £1 per recipient.
