Blackpool International Airport awards advertising contract to Peel
No other advertising sales companies were asked to pitch for the business.

Gareth Kennedy, business development director at BIA said: “Having met the team from Peel Advertising, we had every belief that offering them the contract was the right move for the future of advertising within the airport. We look forward to seeing how this service develops in the coming months and drawing from Peel Advertising’s knowledge of advertising in locations similar to ours.”

Passenger numbers at BIA are expected to reach 800,000 next year, up from 70,000 three years ago. There are currently 25 international routes on offer at the airport.

Diane Rhodes, director of sales and marketing at Peel Advertising said: “We were delighted to have been offered the chance to work with such an exciting and prosperous company.

“BIA is ideally placed for everything the Northwest has to offer with some of the region's major cities on its doorstep. The airport offers fast, efficient commuter services for the business community, and attractive destinations for both short breaks and longer holidays.

“Peel Advertising Limited has a good understanding of airport advertising and how best to get maximum success from what is on offer at the airport, and working closely with the team at Blackpool International, we have every belief that our relationship will grow and develop.”
