A collaboration between Marketing Manchester, CUBE, Redeye and law firm DLA Piper is looking to capture the essence of Manchester through a new photographic competition open to professional and non-professional snappers.
'Bugger, must have dropped it' ‘Capture Manchester’ has been conceived to encourage people to submit their own snaps and illustrations of the city, with the incentive of ten £500 prizes on offer for the best entries. Those taking part will have their work showcased in the CUBE gallery between 28 March and 9 April, with the best shots being made available to the public on postcards, exclusive limited edition signed prints and in a commemorative book. DLA Piper managing partner Simon Woolley said of the initiative: "This competition is about encouraging the energy and creativity of those who know Manchester best and using their talents to communicate the exciting reality of life in the city to a wider audience. "As a Manchester business, we are not only delighted to support the creative community but we also understand the importance of reminding the outside world of the progress Manchester continues to make as a premier European city."
