Clear Channel expands Taxi Media into regions from Manchester base | Print |  Email to a friend

Taxicab advertising firm Taxi Media, part of Clear Channel Outdoor UK, has recruited a team of seven regional field sales executives that it will now marshal from the firm’s Manchester base.

The idea is to expand the reach of Taxi Media throughout the north, Scotland, the midlands and the south of England, servicing local clients and ad agencies with dedicated staff.

Taxicab advertising firm Taxi Media, part of Clear Channel Outdoor UK, has recruited a team of seven regional field sales executives that it will now marshal from the firm’s Manchester base.
Peel Advertising’s Paddy Miller has been recruited to head the team from Manchester and will report in directly to local sales director Rachel Howard, also based in the city.

The office will be used as the regional HQ for the firm, with all seven sales staff using it as the epicentre of their activity.

Clear Channel stressed yesterday that Taxi Media is now the only taxi advertising operator with “a truly national presence.”

Howard commented: “Having a team of people in the regions, dedicated to offering local clients and agencies bespoke taxi advertising solutions is truly unique.

“Other competitors don’t have the local and regional presence or indeed the knowledge of the local area we have. This sets us apart from our competition.”

Rob Atkinson, MD of Clear Channel Outdoor UK, added: “As a company we are committed to investing in the regions and increasing local knowledge and support for agencies and clients.”

Taxi Media now claims to operate a fleet of some 12,000 taxis nationwide.
