Outdoor advertising specialist Clear Channel is investing in new staff and equipment at its regional HQ in Manchester.
John Keane becomes head of agency sales UK based in the Old Trafford office: he was previously head of direct sales south. His team will grow further with the addition of Graeme Charters who joins the outdoor sales company from Ten Alps next Monday 10 September.
Charters Prior to Ten Alps, Charters worked for CBS Outdoor and Century FM. He will be based in Clear Channel’s School House office and will be taking over responsibility for agency sales for the Yorkshire TV Region.
The company has also decided to create a dedicated in-house central printing operation in Manchester and has invested in three new printing machines which will, for the first time, allow the company to create its own four and six sheet posters plus a range of translucent posters for bus sides, bus stops and phone booths.
There are currently 42 staff in the Clear Channel Old Trafford operation and a further 32 local sales execs across the UK report into Manchester.
Keane Keane told How-Do that: “I know it sounds corny but the idea behind bringing the print on board is to offer a ‘one stop shop’ so we can now plan, print and post an outdoor campaign. Our clients expect and need the process to be as easy as possible - hence the changes. We’re investing in more staff and more services.”
