Perhaps the world’s only ‘live digital design tournament’ (prove us wrong people, prove us wrong) has moved from its New York home to Merseyside as part of Design Show Liverpool.
Cut&Paste, which was born in the Big Apple in 2005, sees designers going head to head in what organisers call ‘part gig, part nightclub, part competitive sport’. These live creative battles are set to provide North West design agencies with a chance to promote their abilities via a global event and will take place on Saturday 21 June. Germination is producing the event and will be holding 15-minute test rounds in the city tonight to get potential competitors limbered up. To see what it’s all about log onto www.cutandpaste.com and watch a short film of the New York event in full flow. Design Show Liverpool is part of the Capital of Culture celebrations and has been commissioned by the Liverpool Culture Company. www.germination.co.uk
