Event Marketing Solutions (EMS) of Chester has been reappointed by the national charity Diabetes UK to manage and stage its expanded annual UK tour. Last year the charity’s road show visited eight towns and cities across the country and this year the number will rise to 21.
The road show is being staged as 'Measure Up’ - highlighting the significance of waist size as a risk factor of Type 2 diabetes.
EMS has built a dedicated 10.5 metre vehicle offers three blood glucose testing rooms together with information and advice areas.
EMS has also produced a new, real-time electronic data capture system for the tour which allows staff using handheld PDAs to conduct live consumer research about diabetes as well as capturing contact details for those wanting more information.
Ben Holdstock, senior road show organiser at Diabetes UK, said: "EMS produced fantastic results for us last year, delivering an eye-catching road show for our awareness-raising campaign.”
