It’s not often that you read about a Primary Care Trust opening a boozer, but that’s exactly what East Lancs PCT is set to do…
Not your average Watering Hole
In a move that calls time (groan) on traditional marketing drives, the PCT is opening the doors of a mobile tavern called The Watering Hole.
As the name (and the fact that it’d be fairly bizarre for a NHS trust to start promoting ‘the sauce’) suggests the initiative has more to do with getting watered than slaughtered, and will see the body handing out free H2O to revellers while passing out information on the dangers of excess alcohol consumption.
The pub, created by London-based experiential marketers Branded Moments of Truth, is part of the Trust’s ‘know when to say when’ campaign and will be supported by a mixture of above and below the line activity on a local basis.
