Extra design event mooted for Liverpool’s Capital of Culture celebrations |

It has been reported that the Design Business Association and D&AD are collaborating with Design Initiative and local agencies in Liverpool to bring an extra design event to the city this October.
Design Initiative has already taken a lead role in the upcoming Design Show Liverpool, taking place on 19-22 June, but a purported lack of further involvement in the 08 year for the discipline has led to new plans for a one-day symposium. Plans for the day are yet to be confirmed, but it is thought that the programme will involve a D&AD President’s Lecture and a networking event, amongst other attractions. Design Initiative is the regional support body for the discipline, and its associated crafts and creatives. www.designshowliverpool.com
