This Wednesday evening at the Hilton in Manchester, B&Bs from Blackpool, boutique hotels in Liverpool and boating attractions from Chester to the Lakes will be battling it out at the fourth annual England’s Northwest Tourism Awards.
Among the numerous categories on offer, two may have interest for How-Do readers: Tourism Website of the Year and Travel Journalist of the Year.
The short listed entrants for tourism web site of the year are:
www.arleyhallandgardens.com www.nearhowe.co.uk www.blackpoolgrand.co.uk www.manchesterinternationalfestival.com www.liverpoolphil.com The short listed entrants for the Travel Journalist of the Year are:
A Tickled Traveller Barry Ellams, Chester Chronicle Stephen McClarence, Freelance Louise Tickle, Freelance David Atkinson, Freelance Pauline Cooper, Yorkshire Evening Post
Nice to see the NWDA in aggressive mood and claiming Yorkshire (well at least Leeds where the YEP is published) as part of its domain.
