Flame Digital and Children Today launch ‘Creative Cup’ football tournament | Print |  Email to a friend
Monday, 17 March 2008
Charity Children Today (children-today.org.uk) and Flame Digital have joined forces to launch the inaugural ‘Creative Cup’ football tournament to be held on Friday 25 July.

The two are hoping that at least 16 five a side teams drawn from media and creative agencies across the region will participate in the tournament and help raise money for the charity.

The event, which will take place at MCFC’s youth training ground in Rusholme Manchester, is expected to attract a number of ‘special guests’ including some ex-pro players.

The charity, which assists disabled and sick children across Manchester by providing life-changing equipment also pledged to provide plenty of vocal support on the day. A number of children they work with and their families will be on the sidelines shouting support.

Alan Dodd of Children Today said: “We were delighted when Flame approached us about working together on the Creative Cup. It looks set to be a great day and importantly will raise much needed funds for children across the region.”

Each team will be asked to pay an entrance fee which will go directly to the charity and the organisers told How-Do that Channel M’s sports desk has confirmed it will be present on the day to capture the proceedings…and apparently hand out half time oranges.
