Kate Harris, the former NABS chief executive and current regional director for the advertising charity, has set up a headhunting operation in Lancashire.
Harris Aptly named HARRIS the firm aims to draw upon her twenty plus years in the industry, making the most of the contacts she’s made at director level with agencies such as Leagas Delaney, Grey and most recently with a spell at CheethamBell JWT.Speaking about the fresh perspective she can bring to the ‘executive search’ arena, Harris said: “My main point of difference is that I genuinely understand the industry having worked in it all my life. Not only that, but in the role of CEO for NABS I had unrivalled access to all the key players in the industry. So, my network of contacts is huge and good quality.” In her time at NABS Harris launched an array of fundraising and business initiatives that took the annual income of the charity to around £2m a year. She left the capital in 2005 to move to Lancashire with her other half - Alan Herron, creative director at True North – taking on a role at CBJWT. Harris still works for NABS in the capacity of head of regional development and would welcome any ideas for how to take the charity forward in the North West (as she noted: “spreading awareness and understanding is a constant battle”).
