Charity begins somewhere other than at home for events specialist HGA Creative – the team there prefer to lavish their largesse down the boozer.
To be fair this is a bit of an over simplification. What the Irlam-based agency has actually done is agree to support one of Prince Charles’ rural initiatives Pub is The Hub. The charity aims to protect rural communities by giving pubs central roles at the heart of village life. The hub for locals This sees local drinking dens taking on services that the community could not otherwise support, such as Post Offices, shops and providing internet and training facilities.HGA has got involved by using the in-house skills of the team to produce material to support the charity and sell its cause into stakeholders. This includes creating video case studies, websites and even donating PCs to pubs to enable them to provide IT training and web access. John Longden, director of Pub is the Hub, said of the agency’s efforts: “Without the engagement and support from HGA Creative and their staff we just would not be able to cope with the constant range of communications and information required by local authorities, government, pub owners and communities today.” “Much of our success to date has been down to the clear guidance provided by HGA Creative and how fun they've made it” Apart from no doubt getting free pints every time they visit said boozers, HGA has also received invitations to lunch at Clarence House with Prince Charles and an offer of a private visit to Highgrove. http://hga.hgaserverone.com/
