Kai Wayne Rooney gives first interview to Brazen | Print |  Email to a friend
Wednesday, 04 November 2009

Well, sort of.

The newly-born 8lb Kai Wayne Rooney probably wouldn't have much to say to the consumer PR agency, other than the usual plaintive cries and squeals of any small child that's just looked up at his daddy for the first time.

We'd be crying too...
However, the son of Wayne (senior) and Coleen appears to have an alter-ego that took to Tweeting immediately after his birth.

@KaiWayne has been busy in the first few days of his existence, twittering away with wonderful little messages such as -

“Really pleased my surname is Rooney and not Ropractor” and

“I wonder if David Ngog’s middle name is Wash?”

You have to admit, that is pretty funny.

Anyway, the Brazen team's love for this character has lead to them securing his first ever Twinterview, taking place at 4.30pm today with news editor Adam Moss.

Follow it on #brazenqt or by checking in with the cheeky wee chappie himself.

There is a hashtag of #brazenqt or you can follow via something like Twazzup

"You have to admit, that is pretty funny."

The only thing less funny than the quotes is the "comedy" on the twitter account. The use of in-jokes, bizarre references and football jokes....must be quiet at Brazen today.

TheyShouldKnowBetter - you're in dire need of a sense of humour transplant my friend.
If you've not laughed at KaiWayne's Tweets you must be the grumpiest bugger this side of thye Pennines.

I saw this on Twitter yesterday. It's a decent idea and some of the Tweets are very funny.

If it was kept to just the KaiWayne account, with a bit of support from Brazen then it would be pretty good, but adding the Brazen hashtag across the board just turns something witty into something rather self-serving and commercial. Sometimes less is more.

Tweeter, there was some discussion about what hashtag to use. On the one hand, something that could be used specifically for the KaiWayne Twinterview, or something that had the potential for repeat use. You make a valid point but it seemed to make sense to use something that had future potential
